What we believe
Our Statement of Faith
If you have any further questions about our statement of faith, feel free to contact us.
- ONE GOD
We believe that there is only one God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God for the world, speaking to us with authority and without error.
- JESUS
We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ the Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for us on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal and physical return to reign on earth with power and love.
- SIN
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but he fell into sin, meaning he missed the mark of what God intended for him. All humanity is lost in sin, and each person needs to turn away from it and place their personal trust in Jesus Christ, the Savior. Everyone needs to be born again into God’s family through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- THE FATHER
We believe that God is a loving Father who desires to pour His affection upon us, and that He adopts us into His family as His children when we place our trust in Jesus. As we receive the Father’s love, we are transformed, and we can walk in our identity as sons and daughters.
- THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in us as believers and brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control into our lives. He grants us spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues, prophecy, and healing.
- RESURRECTION
We believe in the resurrection of every person, eternal life for believers, and eternal judgment for the lost.
- UNITY
We believe in the unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and we strive to form a community. We want to resemble Jesus in every way, He who is the head of His body, the Church. We are called to love Him and to love one another, and we can only do this if His life flows within us.
- MARRIAGE
We believe that the Scriptures teach that marriage is the covenant between a man and a woman in an exclusive union with one another. This union is established by a ceremony authorized before God.
Marriage is a unique reflection of God’s faithful love for all humanity. The relationship between husband and wife, as a family, mirrors the love that is given and the covenant between Christ and His bride, the Church.
The promise of mutual faithfulness is neither temporary nor conditional. The permanent nature of the marital bond provides security and fosters the development of a trusting relationship. The Church has the responsibility to care for, nourish, and support the marital relationship and the children from this union through prayer.
