Who we are
Our mission
To know Him and make Him known.
- 1984 – A group of believers, under the leadership of Pastor Randy Stewart, begins meetings in Roxboro on the West Island; this new congregation will be named the Assemblée de la Pentecôte de l'ouest.
- 1989 – Gerry & Marcia Plunkett assume pastoral leadership. The church adopts a new name the following year: Église chrétienne de l'ouest (ÉChO).
- 1994 – The church is powerfully visited by the Holy Spirit and partners with the outpouring happening in Toronto, also known as The Toronto Blessing.
- 1996 – The church moves into the premises of a commercial building in Pierrefonds and holds regular conferences on Renewal.
- 2009 – The church changes its affiliation and becomes Catch The Fire Montreal, joining the new Catch The Fire church network.
- 2010 – Catch The Fire Montreal acquires the current building on St-Charles Boulevard in Pierrefonds.
Our passion is to know God intimately and to make Him known to others. We love to walk alongside people in their spiritual journey so they can experience God’s affection and presence.
Catch the Fire Church Family
It all began in 1994 when the Holy Spirit visited the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship (now Catch the Fire Toronto): God’s presence was tangible and sparked a passionate desire in believers to pursue Him.
Soon, the news spread, and people came from all corners of the world to be touched by the presence and love of the Father. When they returned home, they were never the same. The Catch the Fire movement, founded by John and Carol Arnott, has a global impact and now includes more than 120 local churches across all continents. To learn more, visit www.catchthefire.com.
